Call to Conference

A message from the EFCA Board of Directors regarding the 133rd General Conference of the EFCA on June 23, 2021.

Dear EFCA leaders and constituents,

This past year has been characterized by a group of words we’d just as soon never hear again, words like unprecedented, pandemic, loss, isolation and more. But we’ve also seen our great God work in spite of the challenges and griefs, and we’ve seen our churches and communities rally in creative and grace-filled ways to continue to be the Church and lift high His Name.

This June, we will make use of technology to connect us for the first-ever virtual EFCA One. We believe that now, in unique ways and for so many reasons, we need to participate together in our biennial business meeting and a celebration service like no other. Anyone who (virtually) attended the Challenge conference last July—7000 attendees—knows it was incredible. Anyone who (virtually) attended the Theology Conference in February—1000 strong—knows that it was deep and rich and powerful.

So we issue this invitation to each who considers The Evangelical Free Church of America ‘home’ and smile to think of what God might do in and through this time and each of us!

Jenni Key, Chair of the EFCA Board of Directors

Rob Harrell, EFCA Moderator
